During this beta phase, we collect minimal data needed to test and improve Cheknin. This includes:

• Account Info → Name, email, and Chektag (for account creation and authentication).

• Engagement Data → When and where you check in (to track engagement and improve the platform).

• Device & Usage Data → Basic analytics (to identify bugs, improve performance, and enhance user experience).

• Feedback & Communications → If you contact support or provide feedback, we may keep records to improve Cheknin.

 

2. What We DON’T Collect

• We don’t track your location in the background. Check-ins happen when you scan a QR code—nothing else.

• We don’t sell your data. Your information stays within Cheknin and is used only to improve the platform.

• We don’t store sensitive financial data. There are no payments or transactions in the beta.

 

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Make Cheknin work (e.g., verify check-ins, update leaderboards).

• Improve the platform based on engagement trends and feedback.

• Debug and test features to enhance future releases.

 

4. Who Can See Your Data?

• Your public profile (Chektag, avatar, and check-in activity) may be visible to other beta users.

• You give your data to Businesses who you choose to check in to. They see anonymous stats (e.g., number of check-ins at their venue).

• We don’t share personal data with advertisers or any third parties. Those dass are over!

 

5. How You Control Your Data

• You can delete your account anytime. Hit the self distruct button in the app, or email beta@cheknin.com to request account deletion.

• We won’t keep your data forever. After the beta, any inactive accounts may be removed as we transition to the next phase. In this scenario, you will lose your Chektag.

 

6. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to keep your data secure, but since this is a beta, some things may still be evolving. Our goal is to have military grade security! 

 

7. Changes to This Policy

Cheknin is still in development, so this policy may change. If we make significant updates, we’ll notify beta users.
